A Witch's Halloween
Oh Halloween, so full of fright
Witches ride their brooms tonight,
Soaring through the foggy skies,
Far above the screeching cries,
Drifting up from far below,
From evil doings the old crones know.
Tonight, they'll weave their spider's web
Full of spells to make you dread,
This scary night of ghosts and ghouls,
Who prey on trick o treating fools,
Yes, they have their bag of tricks,
They've been cooking up all year,
In their cauldrons, black as pitch,
Just to fill your heart with fear,
Bats wings, spiders, frogs legs too,
Boiled in slippery slime and goo,
Beware those tempting candy treats,
Handed out on darkened streets,
For once you've gobbled even one,
Your night of horror has begun,
For in that candy, truth be told,
Are spells to make your blood run cold,
You'll fly with witches, my innocent one,
On this night of dastardly fun,
Whizzing by upon a broom,
Heading toward a night of doom,
You'll meet monsters, dragons, mummies, too,
Don't run away, they'll still catch you!
So think again, oh trick-or-treater,
Staying home might be much neater,
Safe and Sound from all harm's way,
Keeping ugly ghouls at bay.
Whatever is your choice, my friend,
The midnight hour will strike its end,
When soon the morning sun will rise,
Celebrating Halloween's demise!
