Coming Home

I’m sending you this loving prayer
That comes from miles away
In hopes you’ll be home soon, my dear
In time for Christmas day

I miss you more than you can know
Sweet love, with heart so true
I’ve longed for you since you’ve been gone
I dream of holding you

Outside the snow is falling
On this cold and wintry night
Yet, inside, warm and cozy
Crackling fire and twinkling lights

~~~

I’ve even hung some mistletoe
Just above the door
My arms reach out to you, my love
The one I so adore.

So please stay safe while you’re away
And when you’ve come back home
We’ll know the joy of Christmas
We'll no longer be alone.
