This wonderful poem was submitted by my daughter, Kristin, whose talents are many.  Thank you, dear, for sharing this with me and all my visitors.

In My Memory, Please Remember

Let us never forget where it was we stood
Above the rest to see the best in all that stands for good.
Let us not surrender to what we cannot see
Let it live within our hearts and in our memory.
We have not lost the battle unless we walk away.
Forgetting all we stood for, on this very day.

Bless all those who lost their dreams, their families, and their freedom to choose.

Bless those who have risen from the ashes to stand at the front of the line leading the way to a new tomorrow.

Bless those who have the will, and with only a memory of what was,
to find the strength to carry on through the most painful time in their lives.

Bless those who will go with courage as those who have fallen did,
showing great leadership, and the will to fight for what we all have lost.
