The Lovers
Two bodies intertwining, two souls
that mesh,
It's so much more than just flesh
needing flesh.
It's the desire to be held, to be
loved over and over again,
To make love more meaningful than
it's ever been.
The flames flicker at first, then
soar hot and long,
Hearts are consumed by
passion's sweet song.
Memories from the past float away in
the night,
Insecurities are forgotten, the emotion feels
so right.
Captured by the beauty of the moment
at hand,
Two lovers dancing to the rhythm of their
band.
There is no choice left as to which
path to take,
Desire won't allow them to think
about mistakes.
Two bodies intertwining, lost in the
feeling,
Reality and confusion sent away
reeling.
Nothing in the present but the
warmth deep inside,
Both of them eager to complete this
wild ride.
