Through
the Years
You stole my heart
So long ago,
On a winter’s day
‘mid swirling snow;
White flakes falling,
We stood together,
Shoulders hunched
Against cold weather;

Feeling so warm
Down deep inside,
Your arms my haven,
Safe place to reside.
The storm raged on,
Fire burned within;
The flames of passion
About to begin.

Our love burning brightly
Through passage of time,
From warm, glowing embers,
Radiance shines;
You light up my life,
My heart’s still on fire;
You’re my sweet Valentine
You’re all I desire.
